Kids really do say the darndest things!

Yesterday on the way to lunch, Carles, a very inquisitive student, was rambling on and on about something or the other. I was honestly so ready for a break that I just kept nodding my head, not really paying attention to what he said. Suddenly, he looks up at me and says "So Miss Stroud, can we donate a child to Africa?" Well, obviously he meant can we ADOPT a child FROM Africa but it came out wrong! I about died laughing but maintained my demeanor and said, "We'll have to see, Carles."
