Once again Fastnacht is here which is the German version of Mardi Gras. Most of the country had their Fastnacht last weekend, but Weil's was this weekend and Basel's starts tomorrow morning. Anne & I went to the Weil parade today and then went to Michael & Delynn's apartment to watch the rest of it. They live right on the Hauptstrasse where the parade took place and so we could get a great view of everything! It lasted 3 hours and we took lots of pictures which I will post tomorrow evening.
Tomorrow morning, Anne & I will get on a plane and head to Lisbon, Portugal! We will be there until Friday and we are so excited! We are hoping that this will not be a repeat of our Nice experience where a scary man barged into our hostel room and yelled at us in French! This time we got a twin room so we don't have to share w/anyone else! I will update daily w/pictures and stories from our time there.
